CENTRAL SCOTLAND

ILR GLASGOW FM1 - (Radio Clyde / Clyde One)

The IBA map for ILR Glasgow (Radio Clyde / Clyde One etc) - 102.5 MHz FM VHF contour is for the main transmitter at Black Hill - at this time the power was 3.6 kW and this has since been increased to 15 kW The coverage area will be marginally wider but not significantly different as the service area is determined more by the terrain of the locality.

ILR Glasgow (Radio Clyde) also has additional relay transmitters as follows:

Rothesay - 102.3 MHz - 0.6 kW
Roseneath - 103.3 - 0.1 kW
Milburn Muir (Vale Of Levan) - 97.0 MHz - 0.04 kW

Black Hill coverage map

The above pixel plot has been produced to show the approximate coverage from the major Glasgow ILR licence: Glasgow FM1 (Clyde 1 - 102.5 MHz) with the current transmitter power of 15kW maximum e.r.p. (10kW vertical + 5kW horizontal) from the main transmitter at Black Hill.

Please note that the above plot was produced without absolute reference to all the detailed OFCOM transmitter parameters - but it is sufficiently accurate to indicate the general area of reception for the station.    A directional aerial pattern has been used to plot the map with the maximum power to the West which should be very accurate, the pattern used may overstate the reception in the East of the area slightly, but it should be nothing too significant.

ILR GLASGOW FM2 (Saga 105.2)

Black Hill Coverage Map

The above pixel plot has been produced to show the approximate coverage from the major Glasgow ILR licence: Glasgow FM2 (Saga - 105.2 MHz) with the current transmitter power of 30kW maximum e.r.p. (15kW vertical + 15kW horizontal).
