| To show that we are a sporting lot -
Portugal most certainly deserved to win their quarter final match
against England in Euro 2004. England probably never stood a chance of winning. It was England's 10 men against Portugal's 13 - well Beckham and the referee were certainly playing for Portugal! That's not to take it away from Portugal though, they were the much better team on that night, without question. England's players looked tired, unfit and, quite frankly, rather useless. Maybe they're not paid enough? |
